Sustainable, Fermented, Couxcoux Coconut Oil with naturally sourced baking soda, vegan candelilla wax and peppermint essential oil combine for an excellent, all natural toothpaste.
Coconut oil and peppermint essential oil are said to reduce bacteria preventing bad breath, cavities, tartar and plaque. Baking soda acts as a gentle abrasive scrubbing away plaque and tartar while restoring alkalinity in the mouth.
Dip a dry toothbrush in the toothpaste jar. Get enough to coat bristles. Brush as normal. Repeat dipping brush as needed to coat teeth with toothpaste. No need to rinse (or spit if you don’t want to).
Feel free to swallow.
Check out our Couxcoux Cleanse & Tone Sprays. They make GREAT breath Fresheners.
Because our Cleanse & Tones are Apple Cider Vinegar based with wonderful essential oils, not only are they great for your face & body, they’re great for the “skin” in your mouth as well.
Apple Cider Vinegar is “alkaline forming”: this means it’s acidic until it combines with the digestive juices of your saliva turning alkaline. That means it’s likely good for your mouth: acidic at first to kill bacteria, then alkaline later to sooth tissues and freshen breath.
While not much scientific research has been done on this topic, with the global movement for chemical free, non-toxic products, like current, common triclosan, flouride, sugar, sulfate, alcohol and petroleum based toothpastes and mouth washes, it’s only a matter of time until it’s confirmed by the scientific community. My Couxcoux Cleanse & Tone Sprays work wonderfully for me and my family. I’ve been using them for years. A couple sprays in the mouth, using the tongue to swish this small amount around, freshens breath, soothes & cools the tissues and tastes pretty good too …. like salad dressing! I carry one in my purse & there’s our SWAT spray in the car for those fresh breath moments that will also get rid of mosquitoes.
